Multiple Proxy Manager

It is this type of proxy that allows a company to use multiple servers for their website, with the reverse proxy serving as a traffic manager to direct packets from clients and direct them to any. Download IEProxy (IE Proxy Manager) for free. IEProxy is an.NET Proxy Manager for the Internet Explorer (IE) and all depending applications. It can handle own proxy servers and switch them on the fly. Proxy servers can be configured from the corresponding tab, advanced settings include changing the computer name, changing the workgroup name and possibly a unique feature of allowing MAC spoofing on the network adapter. TCP/IP Manager was quite reasonable on memory usage consuming around 4MB while sitting in the tray. Download TCP/IP Manager. Reload the configuration of the proxy server and run it in the nginx proxy Directory: #First, test the configuration file. This step must be successful docker-compose exec nginx nginx -t #If the prompt is successful, reload it; otherwise, check and modify the configuration file as prompted docker-compose exec nginx nginx -s reload.

Manager

Management by proxy comes into play when a manager or supervisor does not give you their first-hand input on how you are performing, behaving, or interacting with others, but takes these inputs from those they trust or from those in their inner circle (their pets). They often bring such observations into discussions with you as if they have themselves observed you and start telling you what you need to do to improve, what, to them, seems off-track. Bello network monitoring wingui free. Some of my clients come to me puzzled—even baffled—when what they hear from their manager does not remotely comport with their own account of how they see what is going on or what they see as their own actual play in that script.

What compounds this proxy problem further is that if a manager has a large inner circle of pets it is difficult to pin down or even surmise where a particular input may be coming from. Further, if the manager is coy, but acts as if they are confident about the observation it is difficult for clients who are not as assertive as they need to be to challenge them and ask for specifics to make those remarks actionable and for the client to improve their standing in their manager's eyes.

What exacerbates a client's plight further is that if they have pangs of guilt at some level or that they infer something negative about themselves from the accusation (the power of suggestion) the normal response is to get defensive or to acquiesce (this is how psychics con their unsuspecting prey). Getting defiant takes a different approach. So, what do you do in cases where a 'proxy manager' manages you and you want to go defiant on them? Here is my list:

  1. In many cases where client comes to me there is a ratcheting history of this proxy behavior. Initially, it starts with little or benign observations. If the client does not probe further and takes that input as valid then slowly the proxy behavior ratchets up from benign to venomous and increasingly more malicious statements about your missteps are brought to your attention.
  2. So, a good countermeasure for management by proxy is to challenge the very first such encounter with your manager and ask them to provide you the when, the who, the what, the where, and the how. Making the manager increasingly more uncomfortable will be a good countermeasure to stop this vicious practice in its tracks. After you challenge your manager in early such encounters it is to your benefit to say, Jim, I am here to improve and to provide you the best performance I know how. So, for this to happen I need your first-hand, honest, and direct feedback. I'd appreciate if we can get this underway from now on.
  3. If the 'proxy' behavior continues your next step is to ask for how they got this input and that you are willing to work on it if the person that relayed that to your manager is also in the room with you two to share the details of what they observed. If the manager is guilty of this practice they are going to be reticent about divulging the details. This is where you must make it clear to them that for you to succeed, and, in turn, them, you must have actionable feedback that makes sense in the context of the observable behavior. Otherwise you interpret it as gossip and as counterproductive to your effectiveness. If you convey this sentiment in such a language the manger is not likely to miss its import.
  4. If the manager has the courage to bring the person who reported to them your (mis) behavior then have an open discussion with the person and in that group (you, manager, and their 'pet'). Make sure that you do not attack anyone in the process and stay calm and factual as you go through the process. Ask that 'pet' if they would be willing to catch you when they observe such behavior directly and immediately upon any such or similar future incident. Assure them that you would be open to their input and feedback in a constructive way.
  5. After your forthright meetings with your manager one of two things are bound to happen: Your manager gives you direct and actionable feedback or continues managing by proxy unabated. If the former happens thank your manager for understanding your needs and helping you improve your performance; in the latter case have yet another more serious conversation with your manager and then decide if you want to continue under that manager or leave your job for another.

In one recent case of a client she was not able to take proactive action early on and her manager continued to manage by proxy with increasingly toxic interactions. Soon she had to go on a stress-related disability and finally quit her job. There is no reason for anyone to suffer through such indignities and torture. You must be vigilant and take early action to protect your health, welfare, and your career!

Good luck!

In April of 2017, we released an industry-first feature called Ghost Proxy Control (GPC) that allows you to set a different proxy for each tab in your browser. This feature goes beyond standard contextual identities.

With GPC, you can be logged into one website with multiple accounts so you can browse the web as if from different places. Of course, this is all from one browser window.

GPC is an extension that only works in Ghost Browser. (Click here to learn more about the Chromium-based Ghost Browser).

This video should serve as a tl;dr and will give you a quick overview of what exactly this can do. For more details scroll down.

What's it Do?

The main function of this extension is to let you assign a different proxy for each tab in your browser. To do this, you simply:

  1. Import your proxies, port, username and password through our csv import tool.
  2. Set your 'Auto Assign' behavior to tell Ghost Browser how your want your proxies to be assigned when opening new tabs, Sessions or Workspaces.
  3. Freely change the proxy address for any Workspace, Session or tab to override the defaults whenever you want.
  4. Whenever you revisit a Workspace, Ghost Browser will load each tab through the proxy you set it to use!

Yes, it's that awesome!

Multiple Proxy Manager Chrome Extension

This can be used to keep online profiles truly separate. SEOs and agencies that do social media management for clients have needed to do this forever. And now it's easier than ever. It's also great if you need to manage multiple Facebook accounts, log into multiple Twitter accounts or Instagram accounts for clients that live in other countries. No more annoying authentication issues!

Web developers and QA testers will love this too. If you work on an international site and are tired of solutions that will only change your IP address for the entire browser, then you'll need this. And you'll probably wonder how you ever lived without it. We'll be using the Social Media Manager example below, but web devs and QA specialists will quickly understand the benefits, we're sure.

How to Set Up a Different Proxy for Each Tab

Here's a closer look at how to use multiple proxies at the same time in different tabs with Ghost Browser.

First, you add your proxies. Note: we don't have a Ghost Proxies product or anything like that. 🙂 You bring the proxies, we bring the magic. You can import proxies one at a time or bulk import multiple proxies from a spreadsheet. The import itself takes about a second, even with a couple hundred proxies.

First, let's explore what's available in the GPC extension. To access the settings click the icon in the Ghost Browser extensions tray.

As you can see here, there are two different ways to use the GPC extension. You can use it like an IP changer and automate the way proxies are assigned, or you can override your connection settings at the tab, Session or Workspace level for granular control of your tabs.

You can also set a keyboard shortcut to refresh a tab with a new proxy to speed up your QA process.

Finally, there's an option to add a URL you'd like to use for testing all of your proxies to make sure they're all working. Any bad proxies will be listed and you can choose to disable them from there.

Use it Like an IP Changer

If you want to use GPC like an IP changer instead of assigning specific proxies, check the box to Auto Assign Proxies.

When you open a new tab or Session in Ghost Browser you can set GPC to

  1. Assign a random proxy to that tab/Session
  2. Assign a random proxy to that tab/Session but assure no proxy is used more than once
  3. Assign the next proxy in your list

Let's look at option 3 first. 'Next proxy in list' is essentially an IP Changer, similar to many extensions that already exist to use multiple proxies in Chrome or Firefox. However, there is one important difference. You can select the 'Next proxy in list' option to tell Ghost to do this at the tab or Session level.

If you are new to Ghost, I'll explain briefly that a Session is a set of isolated, color-coded tabs that share a cookie jar. That cookie jar is separate from other cookie jars in the same browser window. (In other words, you can log into one Facebook account in gray tabs, another account in Purple tabs, etc., etc.).

So, in addition to setting a different proxy for each tab, you can also have separate accounts open on the same web site in one browser window.

This means you can use one set of purple tabs for one client's social media accounts - all running off one IP address. Then you can have another set of tabs, say green, representing a different client's social media, Google and other accounts. You don't even have to set this for every Session.

Just open the Session and it will use the next IP address in your list. Don't worry, you'll still be using multiple proxies instead of having all of your tabs switched to the same proxy.

Subscription Manager Proxy

If you prefer to separate your clients by Workspace, which is our recommended approach for most agencies, you can set a Workspace to use a specific IP address. If you are a Premium user, you can even use Profiles or Identities to really go nuts with this extension.

Overriding Your Connection Settings

Nginx Proxy Manager

As you can see, there is also an override setting for each tab, Session and Workspace. This is where you are able to set the browser to use a different proxy for each tab. In fact for each tab, Session or Workspace, you can set it to use a direct connection, your system proxy or any of your custom Ghost Browser proxies.

So, the auto-assign feature makes it very easy for your proxy settings to work automagically. And the override capabilities give this extension the fine-grained control that so many technology professionals have been craving for so long.

You can set the override behavior to:

  1. Use a direct connection (no proxy)
  2. Use your system proxy (whatever you set in your OS as the default)
  3. Use a specific proxy from your list

We hope you love it! The extension is available now and we're always accepting feedback. We are waiting to hear from you about any added controls or interface changes you think of! The idea is to make it a super efficient way for you to manage multiple proxies in Ghost Browser. If you have suggestions let us know in the comments!
